What is “Advancement”?
Advancement is defined by the Council of Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) as “a strategic, integrated method of managing relationships to increase understanding and support among an educational institution’s key constituents, including alumni and friends, government policy makers, the media, members of the community and philanthropic entities of all types.”
As the Park Place Christian Academy’s first Advancement Director, I am charged with building strong relationships inside and outside our school to create a sustainable support base that allows our school’s Christ-centered mission to be accomplished as well as provides additional resources and opportunities for our students and teachers.
Why do we need Advancement?
The annual tuition dollars are used to maintain the basic educational and operational needs of our school. Our school’s fundraising efforts are necessary to provide the additional resources and opportunities beyond the basic educational needs of our students. Currently, we are striving to doing this in three (3) ways: The Rooted Deep, Building Up Capital Campaign, The Annual Fund (starting Spring 2017), and ongoing Fundraising Events.
God is moving and doing amazing things here at PPCA, and we give Him all the glory. He has blessed us through friends and families of our school that willingly give of their time and their financial resources. Our students deserve as many opportunities as we can provide them and the chance to learn from a biblical worldview, but we cannot give them all they need and deserve without help of our friends and families. Thank you to all who have supported and are continuing to support our school.
Advancement for our school is providing additional resources such as academic buildings with adequate classroom space, athletic facilities right here on our own campus, advanced technology for learning, enhanced and expanded educational, athletic, and fine arts programs, and better compensation for our teachers. We know God has our school in His hands and will provide what we need when we need it.
How can you help?
Help us grow together in Christ. As friends and families of PPCA, you can get involved. Being involved means giving of your time by volunteering, giving of your financial resources over and above tuition, or by praying for God’s guidance and protection over our school. Also, you may know of a company, foundation, or institution that desires to support a school with our mission of providing a Christ-center, biblical worldview education.
