PEARL – Park Place Christian Academy (PPCA) Head of School Jason Cook recently announced six new employees joined the PPCA faculty and staff for the upcoming school year.

“It’s going to be a great year,” said Cook. “The enthusiasm from the returning staff and the ones just hired is incredible.”

The new employees include several familiar faces already known to the PPCA family as coaches, substitute teachers, and parents.

The former substitute teachers include Mrs. Erin Cliburn, who will teach 7th and 8th grade math, and Mrs. Jessica Watkins, who will teach 11th and 12th grade math, including Dual Credit college courses.

PPCA assistant football coach Mr. Thomas Edwards will teach History and Speech to secondary students.

PPCA girls’ soccer coach, Miss Morgan Whitaker, will teach 7th and 8th grade English.

Mrs. Caryn Fitzgerald will provide instruction to older students as a Resource teacher for the Dyslexia Center.

After working for the Rankin County School District, Mrs. Lisa Wallace comes to PPCA to teach 2nd grade,
